Adam (Ashton Kutcher) and Emma (Natalie Portman) are lifelong friends. The story revolves around the complexities and quirks of having friends with benefits which makes this comedy very appealing.
Adam falls for Emma when he first sees her in a summer camp when he is 14. He falls in love with her at the first sight. As the years pass, they cross paths until one day they get into each other’s pants. Even after a great sex, Emma makes it clear that she doesn’t want a committed relationship. Adam is already shattered with the fact that his father (Kevin Kline), a fallen television star, is dating his ex. The horrified bachelor has developed disgust for marriage and stuff due to this reason. In the beginning of their “casual-sex relationship” everything seems to go well in both of their lives. Emma is focused on her career instead of her emotions to take over her decisions and Adam is able to play without hurting her feelings. But this doesn’t last forever. Adam starts to develop feelings for Emma that he never had for any of his ex-girlfriends. Before they both know it, love conquers the relationship and they are attached too emotionally to end it.
Will they give commitment in this relationship which started only for casual sex and nothing serious? Or is it time to end it the cold way and move on with life? Catch this awesome comedy in theaters on January 21st 2011 directed by Ivan Reitman.
